The Senior Manager, Systems Integration Role will coordinate and assist in the interaction across all Business Technology and Technical Services areas along with user departments on systems projects and problems. This person will plan, direct and evaluate the work of staff in the architecture and development of new systems or the revision of existing systems. Review work completed and in progress for completeness, efficiency, accuracy and adherence to standards.
Provide direct supervision to the Application Services staff including the architectural and development teams.
Minimum five years' experience with analysis, application architecture / design, programming and implementation in distributed platforms as a manager with hands-on responsibility.
The role will entail a supervisory scope:
Provides direct supervision to the Application Services staff including the architectural and development teams.
General management and administration.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Management of systems development efforts and life cycles.
Knowledge of current technological trends in the software development industry.
Knowledge of programming and computer languages, operating systems, application packages, database management systems, networks, and hardware capabilities.
Knowledge of planning, budgeting, and quality assurance as it relates to software development projects.
Systems analysis and design.
Software engineering principles and practices.
System Integration among diverse platforms.
Communications with all other areas of the Bank to Develop goals and objectives for the department in alignment with Bank objectives
Budget planning and administration for the department; Establish the organization and the standards of the department and coordination of departmental meetings
Risk Management and Control and Compliance; Develop guidelines and procedures for the department and ensure support capabilities for all active systems, IT Risk Assessment, Maintaining required disaster recovery capabilities
Technology strategic planning and alignment of technology efforts with business initiatives
Skills assessment and adjustment
Keep current with and evaluate new technical developments as appropriate to the Bank's business plans and strategic objectives
Supervise active projects through deployment ensuring that all projects are undertaken according to documented standards
Participation on group wide committees for the planning and scheduling of project execution.
Human Resources; Setting and monitoring of individual goals; Performance appraisals for direct reports; Review performance appraisals for indirect reports; Oversee staff career development and ensure alignment with Bank needs and Other duties as outlined by the Bank's HR Division
Assign project/tasks to staff and direct, manage and control all projects assigned to department
Perform hands on technical duties as needed, ensure proper handling of all support and maintenance requests; Manage the project request process and Analyze all project requests made by the users (including time and cost estimates). Coordinate, prioritize and schedule these projects (including assignment of personnel) and follow them through to implementation
Supervise systems development for compliance with documented standards and guidelines
Resolve system integration issues between diverse platforms.
Assign resources to and be a key player in collaborative Enterprise Architecture efforts across all technology areas.
Contract negotiations as applicable Attend classes, presentations and trade shows related to the computer industry Carry out special tasks as assigned by the Director, Business Technology.
Bachelor's degree preferred. MBA is a plus. Professional experience will be considered in lieu of education.
