JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for managing internal resources and working on tax compliance and consulting engagements across multiple industries.
  • Research and write technical tax memoranda.
  • Build and manage client relationships.
  • Assist with marketing and business development, including targeting, product development, and proposals.
  • Assist Manages with detail and technical reviews.
  • Supervising, coaching, and developing tax Staff, Seniors, and Managers.
  • Develop and deliver internal staff training.
  • Develop reasonable time budgets and effectively monitor performance of Staff.
  • Manage the financial performance of engagements including budgets, billing, and collections.
  • Assist with internal and external webinars and presentations as required.
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • 8+ years of experience working in a public accounting firm.
  • Strong interest in developing a sales-based culture with commitment to the Firm's business expansion.
  • Must possess strong client service and staff development skills as well as a commitment to business growth and development.
  • Must have the ability to flexibly service varying sized market clients.
  • Preferred Industry experience – Construction, Financial Services, Health Care, Life Sciences, Manufacturing & Distributions, Real Estate, Sports and Entertainment, & Technology.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Must possess an engaging and effective presentation style.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Current experience with a large regional or national public accounting firm preferred.
 
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
  • Master's Degree in Tax preferred.
  • MUST have an active CPA license and/or JD.
 
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Able to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime required during certain business cycles.
  • Frequent obligations outside of the typical work day (i.e. breakfast or dinner meetings) participating in relationship/business building activities.
  • Total estimated work hours are approx. 2400 with annual charge hour expectations of 1300 – 1400 hours.
