SAP FICO Analyst

Summary:
Working with the latest S/4 HANA SAP modules and applications, the position primarily supports on-going operations by analyzing and troubleshooting incidents. Close to the primary role of support, this postion collaborates with business users assist our business project demands; document business processes and user requests as part of project efforts recommending designs and best practices. The FI analyst works with the global support team, local users, and SAP when needed to efficiently and effectively address requirements.

Essential Job Functions
  • Troubleshoot business application problems and resolve issues working with other analysts around the globe and SAP.
  • Focus on Break Fix, preventive maintenance and optimization tickets with project work as prioritized by management.
  • Utilize, modify and create functional specifications to meet objectives of requirements
  • Apply conceptual knowledge of business processes and technology to solve business system and procedural issues as well as work with business and SAP on co-innovation efforts
  • Research functionality for best practices
  • Identify, recommend, get buy in and deliver solutions to break-fix and optimization business requirements
  • Explore reasonable solution alternatives with the business area before changes are implemented
  • Identify and resolve integration issues
  • Drive source data identification, data mapping, and data cleansing
  • Able to travel as required in support of both support and new project efforts; local and international

Requirements
  • 5+ years of post-implementation support and optimization experience with a comprehensive understanding of functionality and technical configuration in SAP
  • Strong knowledge of SAP financial applications including FI/CO, fixed assets, profitability analysis and product costing
  • Ability to work with third party providers and in an outsourced resource augmentation model
  • Travel 10-20%
  • Good grasp of corporate business accounting and finance business practices
  • Experienced translating business requirements to system functionality designs
  • Write specifications, position papers, and test plans
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Work with others and independently with little oversight

Other Skills/Abilities
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Willing and able to learn latest SAP technologies and related products (e.g., interfaces, 3rd party add ons)
  • Experience with other SAP modules is a plus
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Completion of one's own work and meet deadlines
  • Display leadership and project management attributes
  • Good written and verbal English communications skills
  • Team player, with strong emphasis on knowledge sharing
  • Positive attitude and team building disposition to work harmoniously with others
  • Able to speak other languages (Spanish/Portuguese) is a plus
