1. Job Purpose:

To implement and monitor the planning processes to ensure efficient delivery of the DOF plans in order to meet the Business, Operational and HSE objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and team Business Focused Objectives. Consolidate all the updates related to the DOF Master Plan from all the concern assets/divisions. Integrated DOF Plan Schedule to be in-line with company Production Assurance Integrated Plans.

  1. Principal Accountabilities:

  • Maintains Digital Oilfields Master Plan in alignment with company's Production Assurance Integrated Plan. Prepares plans and schedule for all project delivery in line with DOFD and shared KPIs.

  • Plays an interface role between DOFD and other Asset Units/divisions to consolidate DOF automation deployments within their plans such as the Five Year Production Assurance.

  • Ensures a smooth of sequence of planning activities in close coordination with other planning engineers, project managers leading to the successful and timely completion of set plans to the highest possible standard.

  • Developes detailed yet simple to understand schedules and graphs in line with set deadlines and KPIs that includes producing bar charts and diagrams. Responsible preparing various strategies for all DOFD project planning activities and calculating the timescale required to complete scope of the project.

  • Establishes close relationships with operation assets' planning teams to facilitate coordination and execution of plans to minimize operational risks. Ensures accuracy for all operational requirements for projects and achieve divisional objectives by monitoring the progress of the project at different stages of its development through the use of specialist computer software to help keep the project on track.

  • Verifies critical path and interfaces between design, engineering, procurement and executions. Identifies and advises on areas for improvement to optimize Digital Oil Fields Division activities. Conducts site visits to communicate DOF Planning related issues and monitor progress.

  • Directs and supervises the activities of assigned personnel within the team including contractors/consultants. Assumes supervisory responsibilities as deemed necessary by Team Leader. Manage and support technical resource for all DOF Projects plans. Analyze engineering activities of all internal assets and external vendors.

  • Develops, enhance and recommend appropriate performance improvements of planning activities to ensure optimal quality of all project schedules. Performs regular analysis of all schedule trends through the use of the latest industry standard software tools.

  • Reviews work programme prepared by contractors, and comments as necessary on constructability, costs, practicality, and timing. Ensures that the contractors are in line with the task and plan.

Principal Accountabilities (continued):

  • Proposes and discusses implementation strategies/programmes for projects in liaison with concerned Teams/Departments/Divisions within the company. Updates schedules plans based on inputs received from project team(s) by regularly monitoring progress and comparing it with the baseline planning.

  • Attends periodical stakeholder meeting to review current and future operations plans. Travel to all company onshore and offshore locations as required performing the duties of the post.

  • Adheres to company's Information Security Policy and relevant Information Security Policies and best practices. Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisors such as inter divisional audit of work practices, procedures and performance.

  • Appraises interfaces with divisional programs, maintaining engineering records up-to-date participating in engineering studies, task forces, workshops. Participates effectively in UAE Juniors development program and intake plans.

  • Guides, directs and supervises subordinates to ensure they work to their best potential and contribute effectively as a Team.

4. Communication & Organizational Relationships:

  • Maintains effective and ongoing communication with Team Leaders and Managers from Engineering, Productions Business Units to present and discuss changes, their effect on operational plans as well as those of DOF.

  • Daily Contacts with IT and DOF Teams for provision of update/review/execute of ongoing planned work and performance.

  • Daily contact with Planning Engineers from Subsurface, Drilling, Production, Integrity and Discipline Engineering divisions to discuss the progress and revisions of plans, recommendations, performance measures and for technical assistance provision, training activities.

  • Works according to Company's established policy, procedures approved work programs and professional engineering standards.

7. Minimum Requirements [Knowledge Skills & Experience]:

  • Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering discipline with a thorough knowledge of planning technique and other key disciplines or equivalent. Having a Project Management Certificate is an advantage (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2).

  • 5 - 6 years of experience in similar role with a multinational company. Preferably, from the Oil & Gas sector.

  • Good knowledge of various aspects of Reservoir Monitoring, Petroleum Engineering, Projects, Operations & Business Planning Strategy, Integrity Management, especially offshore installations.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to develop, innovate and think beyond the boundaries.

  • Proficient in English Language, good communication & presentational skills and attention to details.
