Our client, a Government based Oil and Gas sector is looking forward to recruit for the position of "Construction Team Leader” in Abu Dhabi.
 
Purpose:
Manages and monitors the process of construction for the assigned projects in order to ensure that all phases are completed in a timely and safe manager and design parameters set out in the project plan are implemented effectively. Acts as the Project Manager in absence of the respective Project Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Monitors all key worker records and supports individual key worked to develop positive working relationship, create an environment oriented to trust, motivates, inspire team members, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team efforts.
  • Supports new team members in working through Induction programmer, ensures that they have the necessary knowledge to effectively participate on the team. Keeps the management team informed of accomplishments and on-going issues, participates in achieving resolutions to identify issues and keep the team focused on track.
  • Participates in planning of the overall project during the construction phase (construction, installation, testing and final handover). Maintains quality and standards of the organization in all areas of provision. Maintains all areas of Health and Safety relevant to the service users, working environment and staff teams.
  • Ensures all construction, discipline activities are achieved within schedule and complaint with Health, Safety, Environment and Quality requirements. Monitors and audits conformance and expedite corrective actions on deviations and non-compliance.
  • Resolves general conflicts, disputes, disagreements in a timely and efficient manner. Advises Project Management Team and recommends improvement during the design phase to further enhance the layout from the construction point of view and provides relevant inputs for the commencement of work on the EPC Contract.
  • Leads the team review and comments on the various studies related to construction and commissioning. Leads the review process with the concerned parties for all required construction deliverables to ensure that the development and approval by appropriate authorities, prior to the start of relevant site activities.
  • Monitors and Controls Project Deliverables Register. Leads all construction meetings with EPC Contractors and Sub Contractors. Ensures all vendors and equipment are managed to meet contract requirements.
  • Carries out frequent visits to construction site and meet with various project parties to oversee progress and to identify problems or potential problems and risks. Interfaces with other projects, operations and other divisions to resolve interface issues.
  • Acts as a point of contact between construction sites and the Company project team, and provide feedback on progress to update plans, costs and schedules. Ensures that Construction plans are being implemented and critical milestones are being met by early identification of the areas of concern and critical areas.
  • Oversees the quality of work carried out by contractors crews for construction through regular feedback from Company's engineers/ Team Leaders in order to ensure that project requirements are met.
  • Collaborates with the project QA Manager to ensure that EPC Contractor project QA plan is implanted to QCPs/ITPs (Quality Control Plans/ Inspection and Test Plans) are in line with the project specifications, codes and standard. Collaborates with the project HSE Manager to ensure that EPC Contractor project.
  • Guides team members to ensure to perform effectively together as a team and have the required capability to carry out their jobs. Work in line with HSE policy and ensure awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.
