ISLAND PRODUCTION OPERATOR

  • Makes daily inspections at each plant / utilities / well head including recording flow rates, pressures and temperature data, checking fluid levels, the hydraulic system, safety valves and produce daily reports from the data collected. Report any maintenance requirements.
  • Makes necessary flow rate adjustments in accordance with approved limits.
  • Maintain surface equipment at the plant / utilities / well head, including checking hydraulic levels, testing safety valves, inspecting for gas leaks, and taking appropriate action to rectify this.
  • Carries out sampling according to prescribed programs and observe service companies carrying out such work. Return samples, where necessary, to the Laboratory for analysis and testing.
  • Assists as required the wire line and logging jobs of service companies on the well head
  • Ensures that all activities are carried out with due regard to the company's safety regulations and good housekeeping practices.
  • Prepares and performs well flow testing operations in accordance with programs prepared by Island Production Supervisor and endorsed by Team Leader. Record and report wellhead operating data to provide a history of flow characteristics.
  • Operates and maintain chemical injection and drain system, including filling up chemicals, draining as per instruction
  • Assists in preparation, work and follow-up of maintenance activity on well head platforms including Christmas tree maintenance. Participates in commissioning and shutdown procedures.
  • Guide and develop U.A.E. National Developees to achieve their target position set by hierarchy.
Be fully conversant with responsibilities as Area Authority within the Permit to Work System for keeping the worksite safe and clean, and ensuring that all isolations are performed using the stated isolation procedures. Advise Senior Production Operator of any potentially hazardous situations.
 
  • Completion of Secondary technical education (12 years), plus specialized production operator training equivalent to 6 to 9 months' full time.
  • 3 to 4 years' experience of surface operations offshore, with 2 years as an operator.
  • Good knowledge of English.
