Our client, a Government based Oil and Gas sector is looking forward to recruit for the position of "Reliability Engineer” in Abu Dhabi.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Carries out reliability studies on existing equipment to assist fields/maintenance.
  • Support in reviewing maintenance practices, philosophies and strategies. Assist in developing maintenance programmes for major overhauls of static equipment and installations with the objectives of achieving high service factors at optimum cost.
  • Liaises with engineering and major projects in the reliability engineering, design and specification of plants and installations of new projects. Advises maintenance support on trouble shooting of non –routine equipment failure, because analysis and reliability audit as required.
  • Develops and implements maintenance optimization programmed using reliability Center Maintenance (RCM)-use CMMS data and carry out failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), FCA, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for Mechanical Equipment. Develop Reliability Availability Models (RAMM), Life Cost Cycle models, and other reliability costs.
  • Maintains bad factor listing and reporting. Researches and provides technical advises for upgrading and refurbishment mechanical equipment during major overhauls or new installations. Reviews packages of new projects and recommends on equipment selection and redundancy and participates in equipment review and proposed new solutions alerts on obsolescence of equipment.
  • Prepares and issues maintenance policies and strategies including determination of equipment critically and defining necessary rules and analysis required for best maintenance type for each system. Leads and coordinates the development of maintenance strategy on sites and introduces necessary condition monitoring techniques.
  • Ensuring training site employees on failure analysis, spare parts consumption analysis. Revises Job Plans and maintenance frequencies of all equipment and develops tools and methods to carry out such revision. Carries out LCC analysis. Initiates and develops reliability tools to meet Companys Requirements.
  • Ensure transfer/provision of necessary data to the system and defines common codes to be used in the integrated system. Supervises/ directs the provision of appropriate training for maintenance engineers on maintenance strategy, systems and procedures including work management procedures.
  • Ensures that appropriate maintenance training for maintenance engineers on maintenance strategy, systems and procedures including work management procedures. Identifies priorities of action to improve spares and equipment reliability.
  • Develops procedures to optimize spare parts and improve equipment reliability. Ensures correct usage of system by end users to produce accurate and reliable data. Develops additional tools related to reliability engineering and ensures their correct implementation.
  • Ensures the provision of necessary assistance on trouble shooting problem/day to day activities when required for mechanical static equipment's. Review, evaluates proposed modification, overhauls maintenance schemes and makes necessary recommendations.
  • Recommends necessary modification/ replacement of equipment to overcome technical problems. Assists operational sites to develop appropriate monitoring techniques to help reflecting the equipment's real conditions.
  • Leads specific scheme/works allocated to Reliability Engineering in different disciplines including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation. Conducts reliability studies and defines a main ability strategy in order to develop new maintenance philosophy in line with new maintenance approach
