Job Purpose:
To implementation Health and Safety Management System at project sites and all work areas, workshops, labour camps etc.

Should be relevant to the job being described and will include such things as

Number of employees reporting to the position and the overall total employees for which the position may be responsible: All Site staffs are accountable to the position for Health & Safety Management activities.
Number of locations for which the position is responsible: applicable work sites

Principal Accountabilities
1. Shall be well familiar with current H&S legislation relevant to the project, advice and assist Project
Managers in implementing guidelines given in H&S Plan and documents.
2. Organize, manage, advise and direct, team of HSE Staff on the project/ projects on HSE Issues and
assist the project staff for implementation of Health and Safety plan in compliance with the relevant H&S legislation.
3. Monitoring and reporting the work site/ sites on daily basis, Identify and eliminate hazards and imminent danger site conditions, on-the-spot corrective action of unsafe acts and conditions noticed.
4. Planning and directing requirement of first aid, fire fighting and personal protective equipment
and organizing monthly staff safety meetings and maintaining minutes of meeting.
5. Ensure relevant training programs for all the staff and workmen are in place and being implemented.
6. Ensure inspection programmes for scaffolding, ladders, power tools and stores are planned,
implemented, recorded and reported as required.
7. Submit job hazard analysis for each major phase or element of work as necessary and arrange training to the concerned operatives for specific task and implementation of PTW System.

8. Advise on potential hazards and exercise authority to stop unsafe work/site conditions.
9. Initiating and reporting investigation into accidents/incidents and recommending preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
10. Comply with project HSE regulation, incorporating HSE Requirements into method statements and liaise with the main contractor/ consultant HSE representatives as and when required.

Minimum Requirement
  • University Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with minimum three year experience in related discipline or Three years diploma in Electrical or mechanical with minimum five years experience in related discipline or University Degree with Technical trade certification and minimum Eight years experience as HSE Management on MEP Projects.
  • NEBOSH certificate with minimum three years experience on high rise MEP projects or Acceptable IOSH/OSHAS certification from reputed training organization with minimum Five years experience on MEP Projects.
  • Computer application (words and Excel and power point)
  • Good Management and inter personal skills.
  • Good presentation and report writing skills in English.
  • Well motivated and self starter
  • UAE Driving licence
