Our reputed client, a Steel Manufacturing Industry is looking out to recruit for the position of "Technical Service Manager in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Direct Hire Position:
Minimum Requirements:
  •  Post Graduate/ Graduate in Metallurgy
  • Having 10-12 years' experience in similar position in integrated steel plant and over all of 15-20 years in managing quality functions in an integrated steel plant preferably producing Reinforcing bars, Wire Rods and Heavy Sections.
  • Full Knowledge of all quality control functions in Iron making, Steel making. Rolling and Inspecting, Testing of Finished products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Quality:
  • Supervise and manage the quality related activities to ensure supply of quality products to customers.
  • Analyze product performance data and initiate corrective/preventive action to determine the allocation of resources.
Planning:
  • Review and update quality plan, inspection and testing procedures for implementation.
  • Preparation of action sheets, work breakdown structure and targets for team to provide productivity.
Training Requirements & Client Requirements:
  • Development of Career Path for UAE Nationals in association with any Training or Career development to be provided in-house or externally.
Inspection and Laboratories:
  • Update Laboratory and Inspection Facilities and Ensure Proper Maintenance and Calibration
  • Liaison with all standards and audit departments to ensure quality production and health/safety measures
  • Work in Liaison with other Company Departments to support requirements regarding quality issues and failure investigation.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
  • Prepare, forecast accurate annual budget and monitor technical services expenditures through allocating funds.
Specifications for Billet Manufacturing and Procurement:
  • Review, update Billet and Raw materials Specifications to meet quality requirements by conducting periodic investigation and audit for improvement of product.
Technical Support and Customer Complaints:
  • Participate in technical meetings, product promotion campaign including preparation of technical brochure and presentation materials.
  • Coordinate an investigation into customer complaints and resolving it.
ISO Documentation and IMS:
  • Prepare/ approve and update ISO Documents to comply with the company policy.
  • Maintain all documentation according to Integrated Management System while implementing IMS Standards and controls throughout the company.
Safety, Health and Environment:
  • To maintain and comply with the company safety, health and environmental aspects at the work places to avoid injuries, damage to equipment/environment.
