SENIOR SPECIALIST - HR POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Our client, a government oil and gas company based in Abu Dhabi is looking forward to recruit for the position of Senior Specialist HR Policy & Procedures.

Basic Function
To develop the policies study, design, communication and implementation of procedures

Work Performed

  • Contributes in the discussion, development and recommendation of best practice and standardized policies and procedures to meet business needs
  • Reviews, edits and prepares for publication and distribution of revised/new policies and procedures along with summary of amendments to manual holders ensures proper updating and maintenance of policy and procedures manuals and Employee Handbook.
  • Obtain agreement and sign off with all stakeholders on revised policies and procedures
  • Participates in planning, recommending and communicating of approved HR policies, procedures and standards of Borouge in order to maintain external competitive position.Includes co-ordination with all users concerned, collection of information required, analysis and appropriate recommendation.
  • Participates in the studies / analysis on policy and procedures issues, initiate surveys with ADNOC and Group Companies aiming at maintaining corporate standards and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the purpose and structure of existing HR policies and procedures.
  • Provides ongoing advice to HR staff, Employee Relations staff and Management of Borouge, and when requested to other affiliated companies, with regard to policy and procedures matters.

    Work Contacts
  • Frequent contacts with Borouge line management and employees up to ADP leadership team members to discuss, exchange information and provide guidance/advice on policy/procedures-related matters.
  • Regular contacts with representatives of ADNOC and Group Companies for discussion and exchange of information on related issues.
  • Regular contacts with Government authorities, e.g. Department of Labour etc. and other external sources for information.

    Independence Of Operation
  • Reports to Manager, Strategies & Studies. Works according to general objectives, established Company policies and procedures and specialized professional standards.Completed work is subject to general review by Department Manager.

    Minimum Requirements
  • Degree in Business Administration or relevant disciplines with certification in Human Resource
  • Minimum 7 to 9 years diversifies experience in HR, at least 3 preferably in petrochemical or oil/gas industry.
  • Work experience in Human Resources
  • Knowledge of Human Resources functions, processes, policies, procedures, and practices
  • Knowledge of HR systems of UAE, China, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand
  • High level of proficiency in English& strong in Microsoft Word & Excel is preferred
  • Knowledge of UAE Federal Law to ensure that new policies and procedures do not violate any existing laws
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and especially in writing, with associates in all levels of the Company
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information
