Our client, Government oil and gas company looking forward to recruit for the position of "Project Engineer - Projects " in Abu Dhabi

Minimum Requirements:
  • B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument or Process Engineering
  • 10years experience in oil and gas companies or similar large industrial facilities of which minimum 7years in Project Management.
  • Computer literate, fully proficient in Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Aged 35-50
Main Duties:
During FEED /Pre-EPC Stage
  • Manage FEED/ Design Contractors/ Consultant Contracts and Coordinate their activities
  • Interface Management with other Company Divisions
  • Coordinate and issue necessary Purchase Requisitions for Procurement material & equipment for free issue items to EPC/ Construction Contractors
  • Review& comment on FEED contractors/ Design Consultants submissions
  • Coordinate Preparation of Invitation to Bid (ITB) for EPC/ Construction
  • Carry out/ Coordinate Technical Bid Clarification and Evaluation of bids and submit recommendation to Contracts Dept.

During EPC/Construction
  • Overall management and coordination of EPC/ Construction activities
  • Review and approve contractor's submission for method statements and material approval.
  • Project Administration, Document Management, correspondence, transmittals& drawings control
  • Management & Administration of PMC/ Technical Consultant Supervision and TPI
  • Conduct frequent construction site visits to monitor method of execution and progress of project works.
  • Control and monitor Project Schedule, Budget and Performance.
  • Review and endorse contractor's invoices for payment
  • Plan and Coordinate Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for the Project.
  • Ensure implementation of EPC contractors HSE Plan as per Company expectation.
  • Evaluate contractor's variations and recommend/ respond promptly.

During Contract Completion & Closeout
  • Agree punch-list items with contractor.
  • Evaluate Contractors' claims and make recommendation to accept/ reject/ negotiate and prepare final V.O. submissions for approval.
  • Issue Provisional Acceptance Certificate.
  • Coordinate issuance of contract close-out report and transfer all project drawings/ catalogues/ manuals etc. to Company Records.
  • Keep track of warranties/defects liability period on the works performed.
  • Coordinate all corrective actions by contractors during warranty/ defects liability period.
  • Make recommendation for Final Acceptance Certificate.
Purpose & Scope:
  • Perform Project Technical Duties to Plan, Coordinate, and Manage Project Activities, to ensure that works are implemented safely, to the specified requirements, within schedule and in a cost-effective manner, and proper inputs from all Company concerned divisions have been properly addressed and incorporated
  • Perform Contract Administration duties to ensure that Consultants, Construction and/or EPC Contracts are effectively and efficiently administered, and that all contractual obligations are provided in a timely manner.
