Our reputed client, a Government Oil and Gas Company is looking forward to recruit for the position of "Well Integrity Engineer” in Abu Dhabi; UAE.

Location: Abu Dhabi at times to visit the offshore sites.

Job Purpose:
Implements the 'Well Integrity Management System' during the lifecycle of the wells. Develops monitoring and testing plans related to all wells and ensures relevant and quality up-to-date data are gathered. Defines the integrity status for all wells during operational phase and develop prioritized remedial plans

Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintains Well Integrity Passport of all Company's wells, including short and long term action plan. Investigates well integrity problems, provides technical advice and follows-up implementing action plan.
  • Develops and follow up implementing annuli survey plan, quality check the gathered data and recommends action plan. Develops and follows up implementing DHSV test/change plan as per Company's Well Integrity Standards.
  • Coordinates with site and provides candidate wells for leak rate measurements & communication test. Analyzes the collected information, assess the well integrity status and advice action plan.
  • Conducts peer review meeting for RR1 wells, advice risk mitigation action plan and follow up implementation and report on quarterly basis for well risk register. Search market and provide solutions for well integrity problems.
  • Provides tower screening summary, highlight wells integrity issue and advice corrective action plan for safe rig approach.
  • Reviews daily rig/barge activities reports and prepares a summary of well integrity issues for wells under drilling and work over to be discussed with the Well Integrity team for any shortfalls in integrity compliance.
  • Coordinates with Petroleum Engineering Teams (PET) and Drilling Division (DD) personnel to ensure compliance with Well Integrity Standards for wells under drilling/work over. Ensures the compliance of any new well design and down hole equipment that may be introduced by Drilling Division, with requirements for well integrity.
  • Takes proactive approach to alert PET/DD/Sites for issues that may adversely impact well integrity during the life cycle of the wells.
  • Supports the PET to review the WIC-I issued by DD for the newly drilled or worked-over wells and highlight any shortfalls in the WIC-I to the concerned teams.
  • Issues Well Integrity Certificate (WIC-II) for the new or worked-over wells after placing wells online and confirming wells are operating within the defined integrity envelops.
  • Coordinates with Sites a prioritized well integrity monitoring plans and investigative tasks to ensure quality data is gathered to adequately conduct the necessary risk analysis for operating wells.
  • Ensures the risk mitigation or monitoring action plans are followed up in a timely manner and that the status is updated in the database management system.
  • Ensures risk management processes are properly used in well reviews and risk ranking. Takes an active role in conducting well peer reviews.
  • Prepares periodic reports for well integrity status in close coordination with field supervisors and team members to keep management updated. Whenever requested, participates in accident/incident investigations, risk assessment sessions, task forces, and feasibility studies related to integrity status of the wells.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5 – 6 years' experience in managing well integrity management systems. Strong Knowledge of Petroleum Engineering especially well integrity engineering and operations. Experience in well completion, production & intervention operations at sites.
