ACTUAL TITLE: Condition Monitoring System Support Specialist


Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
• Perform initial diagnostics on various vibration related alarms and warnings pertaining to the Gearbox and Generator using ADAPT.wind and PulsePOINT software.
• Provide consistent updates to engineering regarding your findings for all alarms and warnings.
• Perform troubleshooting on Wind Turbine Anomalies to determine root cause and communicate action needed.
• Perform software changes and or upgrades to the vibration monitoring software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve communication issues with the Condition Monitoring System (CMS) hardware and software.
• Drive continuous improvement on wind turbine performance using all available data.
• Interface with customers and send reports generated by the analytics platform.
• Be point of contact for customer questions / concerns regarding vibration anomalies / issues

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer
Science from an accredited college or university (OR Associate's Degree with a minimum of 2
years of technical experience, OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of
technical experience) OR no degree with specific wind turbine experience


Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to travel
• Must be willing to work out of an office located in Schenectady, NY.



Desired Characteristics:
• Previous experience with wind turbine software and firmware packages including: WindSCADA, VisuPro, ControlST (ToolboxST, WorkstationST), Bachmann PLC software and tools, Mark VIecontrol systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Prior experience with CMS and analysis systems
• Strong technical analysis skills, with the ability to understand physics based models and perform data analysis
• Basic understanding of SQL, Python and Matlab languages
• Ability to make decisions and to adopt responsibility
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong team player
• Ability to work within structured work methods
• High flexibility and motivation
