Payroll Administration/Junior Accountant

Summary
Responsible for company payroll processing & administration as well as select general ledger account reconciliations & analysis.

Reporting Structure
  • Reports directly to the Senior Accountant within the Corporate Accounting Department of Stuart Dean

Primary Responsibilities
  • Payroll Administration; including but not limited to:
    1. Processing of divisional payroll reporting; including union specific items
    2. Input & Processing of Corporate payroll
    3. Input & Processing of off cycle & select payroll items
    4. Recurring payroll reports & analysis
    5. Ad hoc reporting & analysis
    6. Corporate payroll tax compliance and quarterly & year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports
    7. W-2 Reporting & reconciliation
  • Accountant; including but not limited to:
    1. Monthly recurring general ledger account reconciliations
    2. State business license tracking & maintenance
    3. Interaction with outside auditors

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years college required; expectations toward bachelors degree in business/accounting a plus
  • Payroll processing experience required
  • Business Knowledge in Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong financial software processing skills
