Highly regarded Plastic Surgery Center & Medical Spa in La Jolla, CA seeks a PACU Nurse Manager for a hybrid role combining leadership and hands on clinical nursing. Our practice has been established for over forty years, and is known for an emphasis on quality, positivity and natural looking results.

PACU Nurse Manager will manage the Operating Room and PACU in our Cosmetic Surgery center. She/he will oversee a team including a RN's, Medical Assistants, Techs and Per Diem Clinical Staff. Responsibilities include scheduling to ensure seamless surgical cases, orientation, training, coaching and management surgical team. Cosmetic Surgery Nurse Leader will build rapport with staff as well as patients/families and provide support as needed in a compassionate environment.

Operational duties include contributing to quality, patient safety and customer service plans and reviews to ensure the highest standards are upheld. She/he will maintain a clean and safe working environment, maintain proper documentation of patient care services, ensure medical equipment is fully operating and order repairs as needed. Maintains nursing supplies inventory and communicate orders to Admin Staff by studying usage reports anticipating needs, approving requisitions and cost allocations. Meets nursing financial standards by communicating budget information and tracking expenses. Maintain ongoing tracking and logs for patient follow up care and inventory supplies and OR devices. Ensures adherence of AAASF procedures and accreditation process.

Hours of Work:

Flexible Days, 32 or 40 hours/week

Compensation:

$85,000-$110,000+/year based on experience, credentials and education.

Requirements:

CA RN
5+ years of Operating Room and/or PACU experience required.
2+ years of Charge Nurse, Manager, Supervisor or other Leadership experience.
Plastic, Cosmetic or Aesthetic Surgery experience highly preferred.
Highly positive, organized, detail-oriented and efficiency.
Able to identify areas for improvement, create and implement plans to benefit the team as well as the overall practice.
Able to stay calm under pressure and juggle multiple priorities including using technology to schedule, team management and hands on care in the Operating Room and PACU.
