HP Tools Engineer

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Proficient in products such as Client OVO /Client OM/ Client NNMi/Client BSM / Wily /Site Scope / App D/ Splunk/SevOne Other monitoring tools.
  • Experience with troubleshooting & resolving Client OVO /Client OM/ Client NNMi/ Client BSM / Wily/SiteScope /AppD /SevOne / Splunk, Other monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge on Scripting and Automation techniques.
  • Need to work with business staff /Client Stakeholders to document process/needs/req's and business opportunities.
  • Should be able to analyze & coordinate the Work requests with Stakeholders, Peer teams & Team members working in onsite /offshore model to highlight gaps, Risks and to drive the requests to resolution after setting the timelines.
  • Ability to Log into Major/ Critical calls and drive the issues to resolution.
  • Should be able to Negotiate and set expectation to Client and Team members on Deliverables, goals and Targets.
  • Responsible for all major facets of assigned projects from inception to completion, including client contact, engineering, resource planning, etc.,
  • Participate on project specific tasks that impact the operations/business clients that they manage.
  • Manage the computer room and on-premise technology in their clients to ensure that they are in compliance with policies.
  • Must be an escalation point for troubleshooting and other issues.
  • Serve as a point of contact for the onsite operations, new project tasks, delegation to offshore team etc.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to team on technology opportunities and avenues which can be transformed.
  • Job holder is expected to interact with all Offshore Tools Team as required to insure efficient Project/Work request Execution and remain as escalation contact to client.
  • Must be capable of working with minimal onsite supervision.
  • Must be capable of communicating well with remote/Offshore co-workers to guide and direct the team to meet/exceed the expectations and deliver it in the set timelines/SLA.
  • Take an active role in the training and development of subordinate personnel, and serve as a mentor to new Engineers, or Operations staff as required

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to meet objectives with little or no direct supervision.
  • Write and maintain documentation describing changes and modifications to all systems
  • Participate in meetings and conference calls related to project and troubleshooting activities
  • Research solutions to various business and technical problems, evaluate alternatives and be able to present recommendations and justifications to management to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure and develop a roadmap
  • Act as technical liaison in support for Client OVO / Client NNMI/Client BSM /Wily, AppD /Splunk/SevOneand other monitoring tools for project related activities

  • Min 7+ years of Hands on experience in Monitoring tools like Client OVO /Client OM/Client NNmi/ Client BSM /Wily/AppD/ Splunk/SevOne
  • 4+ years' experience as Project Manager/Project Coordinator experience/Technical Coordinator experience.
  • Experience in a large, 24x7 environment

Education/Vocational Training:
  • Bachelor Degree's / Post Graduation are must.
