Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Thornton Park Law Firm seeks a professional and polished receptionist, whose responsibilities include:
  • Completes requests by greeting customers, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
  • Maintains department schedule by maintaining calendars for department personnel; arranging meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
  • Assisting President with various secretarial duties, light typing, filing
  • Assisting Director of Operations with various duties including property management issues
  • Coordinate appointments with prospective and retained clients.
  • Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.
  • Organizes work by reading and routing correspondence; collecting information; initiating telecommunications.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer instructions and established procedures.
  • Provides historical reference by utilizing filing and retrieval systems.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by corporate executives.

You must have the ability to work well with staff, clients and vendors. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are a must - detail is critical.

Education:

Associates Degree (A.A. or A.S.) in Business Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field, from an accredited college or university; or three or more years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate has some prior property management and office experience. Our firm prides ourselves on outstanding customer service, the ideal candidate will possess experience in the hospitality field – such as previously being a Flight Attendant or Customer Service Rep. in a luxury hotel.
