Ensures timely processing of new mortgage loan applications in compliance with federal, state, and NCUA regulations as well as established standards, policies, and procedures of First Citizens¿ Federal Credit Union and its members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ensure completeness and process mortgage loans in accordance with established timeframes consistent with First Citizens' Federal Credit Union policies and procedures. Perform document data integrity checks. Maintain MHFA portfolio and jumbos. Submit all applicable loans through desktop underwriter. Provide superior customer service by developing and maintaining a team relationship with the assigned loan officers, closer(s) and the underwriter(s). Prioritize files to meet commitment, closing and rate expiration dates while maintaining credit quality standards as established by First Citizens' Federal Credit Union. Extra hours/overtime may be required when necessary to accommodate loan volume demands. Review files to ensure that written and oral communication is well documented and that any exceptions/non-compliance requirements are explained and/or justified. Ensure the accurate maintenance of status updates, processing and management reports within established timeframes. Ensure confidentiality within all areas of responsibility. Cross sell and promote credit union products; including deposit and loan products, insurance offerings and business services. Follow all procedures pertaining to the Credit Union¿s policies of BSA, USA Patriot Act, and OFAC. Attend training when available, and to keep abreast of all information regarding changes and updates. Reporting to management any acts of disregard to these policies. Successfully complete all company required and job specific training. Perform additional duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED High school diploma required. Two to five years of residential conventional and government mortgage processing experience required. Advanced knowledge of all conventional and government mortgage products, investor guidelines, constraints, pricing, timeframes, and federal, state and NCUA regulations Advanced knowledge of the mortgage processing system applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Must be organized, detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and have solid time management skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver high level of customer service/satisfaction with both internal and external customers.

Physical Demands Efforts
This function requires moderate standing and walking with extended period of sitting. Will be sitting while performing computer data entry functions. Position does not involve climbing or crawling but may on occasion kneel/squat. Requires lifting and moderate carrying of items up to 25 pounds such as a banker¿s box. Ability to operate normal office equipment such as, telephone, copy machine, fax, scanner, and computer.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision and ability to adjust focus.
This position typically works in an office environment. Noise is moderate and typical of conversations and office equipment.
