Junior Underwriter (BBCN Bank)

Location: Fullerton, California
This position is responsible for performing underwriting duties including the evaluation of all credit, income, assets and property information submitted with the mortgage loan application and signing off on conditions allowed.


• Maintains pipeline within the Company's standards of turn-around time for upfront and final underwrite
• Reviews files upfront for initial credit decision based on Company checklists and guidelines
• Review, upload to Investor and work through all FHA/VA loans files
• Keep submittals, re-submittals and underwriters organized to meet turn times and COE
• Submits loans to investors where applicable
• Provides status update pertaining to the loan file to related parties: Loan Officer, Real Estate Agent, Escrow Officer, Branch Contact
• Adjusts condition sheet in LOS with applicable conditions
• Performs a final review of files prior to docs being drawn
• Works with post-closing department on any stipulations for closed files
