Job Description

The Job:
  • Responsible for assessing the risk of a loan and making an approval or decline decision based on the quality of the data in the loan file.
  • Reviews and ensures data integrity to confirm the accuracy of automated underwriting findings and investor overlays.
  • Applies all internal and external underwriting guidelines, investor requirements and federal regulations to the decision process to ensure loan quality.
  • Analyze and verify the employment profile, credit strength, property characteristics and all other information pertinent to the credit decision process on each loan application.
  • Communicates required conditions and stipulations and provides assistance to expedite the final approval of a file.
  • Provides strong and clear communication to other departments
  • Analyzing credit, income documentation (including complex tax returns), Title, Appraisal, and all requirements by agency and investor guidelines.
  • Managing pipeline and maintaining company overall turn times
The Person:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of recent underwriting experience required
  • Detail oriented, flexible and adaptable, and must learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player that can effectively communicate & ability to operate independently
  • Knowledge of Client/FHLMC programs and guidelines
  • Ability to learn new products through our elite training program
  • CHUMS and SAR highly preferred

Salary: $80,000.00 to $110,000.00 /year
