Mortgage Loan Processor (First Bank and Trust)

Responsible include but not limited to review of completed loan packages before shipping to Investor and preparing form closing. Interface with loan operating systems on Conventional, FHA and VA loans
  1. Review project data and loan application information for accuracy, completeness and in line with compliance.
  2. Monitor and order documents such as credit reports, verifications (deposit, employment, rent or mortgage) appraisals, final inspections, title work, mortgage insurance, loan reports and flood determinations.
  3. Maintain knowledge of Calyx, Client and Fredie Mac updates along with various investor websites;
  4. Serve as liaison between underwriter, loan officer, Title Company, Borrower and closing
  5. Maintain an open line of communications with loan officers.
  6. Responsible for loan officers commission voucher
  7. Review assembled credit package for submission to underwriter
  8. Review conditions, approve or make corrections
  9. Meet with loan officer and review progress of pending transactions.
  10. Help with post closing on files
  11. Responsible for answering telephones and ordering supplies
  12. Provides support to other areas of the department as assigned
  13. Promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services
  14. Prepare closing packages when needed
  15. Assisting with other functions and special projects
  16. Performs other duties and responsibilities as directed.

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent experience with additional training in a business environment; At least two years mortgage processing experience.
  2. A thorough understanding of mortgage lending from origination through loan closing is required;
  3. Strong knowledge of conventional and government loan guidelines;
  4. Be familiar with all Agency guidelines and be able to obtain an NMLS Identification Number.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Database Applications;
  6. Working knowledge of real estate regulations as it relates to the lending function;
  7. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environment;
  8. Ability to work independently;
  9. Strong organizational skills;
  10. A positive customer service outlook.
Physical Demands- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use of hands and fingers to feel or handle equipment and files; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 2.5 pounds. Work Environment- The work environment of a Mortgage Loan Processor is in a cubicle setting with access available to lenders. The general area is fair to medium noise level.
