Mortgage Loan Processor (Mortgage Network Inc.)

We have a Mortgage Loan Processor position available in our Mansfield, MA office. Applicants must be able to work in the office, remote positions are not offered.
Job Summary:
The Processor is primarily responsible for verifying, compiling and typing application information for mortgage loans. Reviews residential loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets established standards; including type and amount of mortgage borrower assets, liabilities and length of employment.
Responsibilities:
  • Review the LE report daily for new loans that are not yet disclosed or transferred.
  • Claim any new loans and start the loan process
  • Review LE and 1003 data entry and update LOS as necessary.
  • Finalize LE and issue application package
  • Send application package to client via secure email or postal service
  • Review alternative documentation submitted by loan officer and update LOS accordingly
  • Upload credit documents to global documents
  • Track contingency date, rate lock expiration date, and closing date
  • Mark follow up calls in outlook calendar or desk calendar
  • Transfer "complete” file to underwriting within 7 calendar days of application
  • Provide borrower with commitment letter once file is approved AND call client within 48 hours of delivery of approval to review outstanding conditions
  • Gather all necessary conditions, review and submit to underwriting (send email to underwriter indicating conditions are ready for review)
  • Conduct weekly pipeline calls with loan officers
  • Provide borrower with frequent updates throughout the loan process
  • Clear loan files at least 10 days prior to anticipated closing date
  • Issue Scheduling Sheet to Attorney or title company
  • Prepare final underwriting package for post-closing
  • Review pipeline report at least twice weekly to ensure all loans are accounted for
  • Within the pipeline
  • Review ECOA report daily for loans require NOI letters or Commitment letters
  • Work with Post Closing Team to clear any pre-purchase suspense items
Optimum pipeline size is 35-45 loans with an average of 20 funded loans per month
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Moderate - Strong computer skills
  • Strong customer-interface skills
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
Education and Experience:
  • 2+ Years of processing experience
