Mortgage Loan Officer (Citizens Community Federal)

Location: Rochester Hills, Michigan
To sell and development real estate lending business for the Bank by actively participating in the community and engaging in activities which promote the banker and Citizens Community Federal. Offer outstanding service selling and processing Bank real estate loans according to the guidelines of the Bank Lending Policy. Comply with regulations and policies of Bank as established.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

May perform any or all of the following duties:
  • Actively market real estate products and services to the greater community. Cross-sell and promote other Bank products and services.
  • Process loans according to policy and regulations (includes but is not limited to: loan generation, loan decision making, loan closing, loan administration, and loan collection).
  • Serve as the product and compliance specialist for all mortgage (in-house and secondary) products. Refer all consumer loan inquiries to the appropriate bankers.
  • Complete loan closing in a manner which assures the member is in complete understanding of all terms and conditions.
  • Ensure new loan paperwork is complete and signed appropriately prior to filing for record keeping. Follow up with customers on missing items.
  • Verify and document supporting reference information.
  • Disclose complete insurance information to member.
  • Complete all follow-up documentation.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare management reports as required.
  • Keep management informed of member suggestions and concerns.
  • Coordinate work efforts with LSO (Loan Servicing Office).
  • Achieve sales, cross sell, and referral goals.
  • May perform research and assist customers with routine account-related requests.
  • May open and close branch, observing security procedures.
  • Keep Branch management informed of customer suggestions and concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

    Follow and enforce Citizens Community Federal policies and procedures.

    Follow and enforce all state and federal banking regulations

    REQUIREMENTS / CORE COMPETENCIES

    4 year degree in Finance or Business Administration or equivalent experience. Loan support, clerical, computer experience.

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

    Time management , organization, sales, and communication skills.
