Processes residential first mortgage loans from start to underwriting decisions. Audits and prioritizes all newly assigned loan applications. Reviews forms and disclosures for completeness and accuracy.
Gathers and analyzes necessary documentation required to create a complete file, including, but not limited to: ordering employment, income and deposit verifications; appraisals; flood certifications and construction or purchase contracts.
Reviews credit reports and findings from the automated underwriting system to ensure that every loan application meets the requirements of the Bank's underwriting standards and other investors as applicable to each individual file.
Performs a review of appraisals to ensure the property conforms to Bank Mutual appraisal guidelines.
Communicates with loan officers and/or customers about items needed to reach a loan decision. Performs the necessary follow-up on all file documentation to meet required commitment deadlines.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in processing residential first mortgage loan is preferred.
High school education or equivalent
Strong detail orientation and organizational skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills, including telephone skills.
Strong math and problem solving skills as they relate to mortgage lending.
Demonstrated ability to learn and utilize a variety of computer applications, including a solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Open Office.
Accurate keyboarding skills.
