A small, locally owned and operated title insurance company is looking for a full time settlement agent. Someone who is a self-starter, an efficient multi-tasker, great with people, has a positive attitude and loves working. We are looking for someone who is a massive implementer and is very driven and focused.
You are quick to learn and eager to stay at the front of the pack.
This position will require you to be on the phone and computer for long periods of time, making many calls throughout the day as well as coordinating schedules of multiple parties.
You should also have excellent technical skills and are fast to learn your way through new software.
You are a quick thinker and are able to handle multiple scenarios at one time. You are great at follow-up. You pay attention to detail and stay on top of tasks with ease.

  • You will be in charge of pulling together information from the lender, real estate agents and municipalities to complete a file for closing. Candidate will communicate with the lender, obtain closing instructions and documents, order payoffs, prepare all settlement papers including deed, ALTA Settlement Sheet, title commitment and more.
  • You must be able to work on your own.
  • Organization is key. Candidate must keep track of when things need to be done and accomplish them in a timely manner.
  • Candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to provide excellent customer service on the phone and in writing.
  • Candidate must have extreme attention to detail. Document handling and review, uploading information to website, ordering lien letters, title abstract review, commitment preparation, title clearance, CD/Settlement statement preparation, deed preparation, prepare pre-printed documents, closing statements and escrow instructions, coordinate timing of closing, recording, disbursement of funds and issuance of title insurance policies. Ensure that all terms and conditions of the purchase and sale agreement are complied with and that each file is properly completed and documented, along with other duties as assigned.
