Under the general direction of the senior retail lender and in line with established policies and procedures, this position is responsible for interviewing mortgage loan customers, cross selling the Banks' products and services, and marketing mortgage and retail services to the appropriate business sources outside the Bank.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Consults with potential mortgage customers to fit our products with customers needs.
• Interviews and assists in completion of mortgage application, completing all disclosure information in compliance with regulations.
• Qualifies all potential borrowers through secondary market underwriting software.
• Assists in the underwriting process by acting as the liaison with the customer throughout the process.
• Participates in community activities to enhance the image of the Bank and increase business.
• Cross sells appropriate products and services after assessing customer needs.

• Demonstrated success in sales.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Mortgage banking experience helpful.
• Detail oriented; well organized.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Duties require knowledge of sales strategies, techniques and planning skills equivalent to completion of four years of college. Banking experience helpful, but not required.
INTERPERSONAL/BEHAVIORAL/COMMUNICATION: High level of interpersonal skills to communicate with internal and external customers in a polite and professional manner using both written and verbal skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with deadlines. Attention to detail.
MATHEMATICAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS: Ability to utilize secondary market software programs and program disclosure software.
