Mortgage Loan Officer (Howard Bank)

The MLO is responsible for the origination of mortgage loans provided by the Bank;coordinating with Mortgage Loan Processors, Underwriters, Closers, SecondaryMarketing personnel, and Post Closers to ensure that each of the MLO¿s loansis processed, approved and closed in a timely manner; ensuring that loansconform with the Bank¿s terms and commitments; and performing any other oradditional duties that are assigned by the Bank from time to time.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities: Originate Mortgages in a high quality manner for the Bank and work with staff to assist in managing the loan processing and closing. Be knowledgeable in mortgage banking compliance, agency and investor guidelines, and stay abreast of all regulatory changes in industry. Must be able to effectively communicate mortgage products to loan applicants, realtors, builders, etc, in order to meet the needs of clients. Maintains a Thorough Working Knowledge of and Adheres to Howard Bank¿s Organizational Policies, Regulations, and Procedures. Maintains Confidentiality of Howard Bank¿s Organizational and Customer Related Information.

This position performs duties specific to theposition and is expected to perform a variety of other functions as needed,which may or may not be directly related to the position¿s primaryresponsibilities. Demonstrated commitment to community involvement Marketing and communication with customers and business sources as a quality representative of the bank. Complete all other duties as assigned.

In the performance of respective tasks and duties, the employee isexpected to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Ability to travel in market area with personal vehicle for out of the office marketing and sales calls. Maintain a laptop computer.
