We are currently searching for experienced Residential Mortgage Loan Originators to join our team in Mount Dora or any of our Central Florida locations. The successful candidate will originate first mortgage loans and promote First Green Bank and our lending services to the real estate community.
Job Description
  • Solicit first mortgage loans. Inform prospective loan clients of underwriting guidelines and applicable government regulations.
  • Help to identify and serve the community' financial needs through home loan counseling, real estate agent seminars and sales meetings, and participate in and promote First Green Bank's community activities.
  • Personally interview all loan applicants and screen requests based on First Green Bank's policies and on types of loans offered.
  • Complete each loan application and all pre-processing functions and send to mortgage processing in a timely manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of residential mortgage regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance. Stay abreast of new legislation, regulations and guidelines that may affect residential lending.
  • Personally answer incoming phone calls and schedule appointments.
  • Communicate complex approvals or denials to the borrower, real estate agent or builder timely.
  • Maintain and submit a status log (pipeline report) monthly to supervisor.
  • Communicate with First Green Bank business partners for referral opportunities.
  • Promote and participate in special credit programs and other CRA programs.
  • Actively participate in local business and community activities and maintain close contact with local builders, real estate brokers and agents, customers, prospects and other referral sources.
  • Attend closings.
  • Maintain an excellent knowledge of the Board's established policies and procedures regarding BSA, AML, CIP and OFAC, and comply with those established policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements :
  • Be values aligned.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or finance or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 1-2 years' previous experience in a financial institution or loan office setting.
  • Strong sales, organizational, managerial and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-starter and highly motivated.
  • Strong moral principles. Honest and fair with good character.
