Escrow Officer (North American Title Company)

North American Title, one of the largest real estate settlement organizations in the U.S. and a part of a Fortune 500 company (NYSE: LEN), has a position available for an Escrow Officer for their Bakersfield location. Minimum of 3 years of escrow experience is required.
SUMMARY:
Manages the real estate closing process including preparation of all documents associated with the processing and closing of escrow, conveyance of title, recording of documents, clearing of title requirements and issuance of title insurance. Interviews escrow principals to obtain pertinent facts, directs the preparation of escrow instructions, preparation of documents, issuance of title policies and the disbursement of funds, and otherwise assists escrow principals, their lenders and/or agents in the consummation of escrows involving the financing or sale of real property. Reconciles escrow instructions with commitment and/or preliminary title report. Complies with ALTA Best Practaces, CFPB/TRID requirements and company policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • 3 years experience as an Escrow Officer
  • Well-developed Customer Service skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Proficiencies in Microsoft Office preferred.
