Post Closing Specialist - Title Operations (Matt Martin Real Estate Management)

We are currently hiring a Post Closing Specialist . The Post Closer is responsible for performing a detailed post-closing analysis of closed Government loan packages to determine compliance with Agency program guidelines. Audit loan files for submission to Government Agencies for endorsement/guarantee.
  • Review closed loan packages to ensure that documents are correctly signed and properly executed by mortgage loan originators, processors, and underwriters.
  • Perform a detailed post-closing analysis of closed loan packages to determine compliance with Government Agency program guidelines and checklist
  • Enter loan data in FHA Connection, VA WebLgy and USDA for Insuring/Guarantee purposes, maintaining accurate data integrity
  • Respond to requests and prepare case binders for any loan files that receive Notice of Rejections/ Deficiencies from Government Agencies
  • Define and analyze defects using logic and resourceful methods to actively resolve
  • Work in conjunction with internal operations, borrowers and all entities connected to loan file for conditions needed for audit and/or NOR's/Deficiencies
  • Maintain production and quality per management guidelines
  • Perform other general post-closing functions as needed

Required Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years' title, settlement services or mortgage experience.

Required Experience
  • Knowledge of mortgage industry concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of mortgage loan documentation and the government insuring processes.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, etc.
  • Intermediate Encompass 360 skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time wisely.
  • Ability to work independently, analyze data, take and recommend appropriate actions with minimal supervision.
  • Superior analytical, organizational and problem solving abilities.
  • Resolution oriented with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and customer service skills
