Loan Officer Assistant
- Answer phone calls and take detailed messages for the loan officer
- Call on interested prospects and gather information for possible financing
- Compose, organize and maintain pipeline correspondence
- Manage daily and monthly calendars
- Provide administrative assistance, which will include: data entry, copying, filing and record keeping.
- Manage time effectively to meet and exceed deadlines to ensure timely closings
Loan Officer Assistant Responsibilities:
- Review loan application to determine the completeness of all information and documents provided, and verify the borrower's qualification for specified loan product.
- Advise loan officer of any deficiencies or missing documentation. Obtain missing documentation from borrower(s) and third parties.
- Complete loan pre-approvals, credit and income qualification.
- Lookup and verify loan guidelines to ensure loans qualify and proper loan program and/or investor has been selected.
- Enter application and upload documentation into LOS (Encompass) as needed.
- Prepare LE, all disclosures, order appraisal, run credit, and run AUS findings.
- Package and submit complete files to operations through LOS and prepare files for underwriting.
- Upon receipt of loan approval, work with the Processor to clear all prior to doc conditions and funding conditions.
- Manages pipeline - milestones, lock expirations, CDs, commitment dates and closing deadlines.
- Ensure loan moves through milestones and closes on time.
- Generate client correspondence, maintain client relationships and update customer database.
- Update loan officer, update borrower and referral partners on milestones and loan status.
- Update CRM, complete post funded database management follow up calls, surveys, mailers and other ongoing customer management.
- Work with Processor, Closer, and Loan Officer to clear funding conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous mortgage industry experience required.
- Strong underwriting background and experience utilizing Encompass mortgage software and all Microsoft software/programs.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel-Power Point a plus)
- Establish and maintain files in an organized, accurate and unified manner.
- Ability to manage deadlines and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Organized and highly detail-oriented.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime if required.
- Knowledge of TRID
- Knowledge of Agency Conforming (FHA, Conventional, VA and USDA) guidelines
