Closing Manager (Lakeview Loan Servicing)

Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Facilitate process workflow; create job aides and train in closing and funding of mortgage loans within loan origination system in accordance with company and program guidelines, policies and procedures. Ensure loan documents are prepared compliantly with no variances between signed documents and loan origination system data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop job aids, as warranted, for loan closing to make process more efficient.
  • Analyzing reports from the loan origination system.
  • Answer closing questions for internal and external parties.
  • Train new employees in the department on the company's loan origination system for loan closing, processes and procedures.
  • Assist in managing department workflow.
  • Assist in resolving customer inquiries after funding regarding payments, escrows, or any other issue that may arise.
  • Analyze or review the calculation of CD cures, curtailments requested by Closers, as needed.
  • Manage internal and external expectations on timelines, and processes, as it pertains to their team
  • Assist post closing manager, as requested, to obtain resolutions on closed loan issues.
  • Monitor status of unfunded loans and report issues to Senior Manager.
  • Assist with the assignment of files to appropriate closing staff.
  • Responsible at times for closing and funding loans.
  • Manage and perform all multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Respond to IA, QA, QC, monthly audit findings on loan level as requested.
  • Responsible for timekeeping and performance reviews of direct reports.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Knowledge of mortgage loan process
  • Experience dealing with regulatory compliance (RESPA and TILA)
  • Knowledge of preparation and calculation of mortgage loan closing documents
  • Knowledge of title insurance commitments and exceptions and legal descriptions
Required Experience EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • College degree preferred
  • Three years of mortgage closing experience required with emphasis on knowledge of regulatory compliance on closing documents, CD cures and disclosures/ redisclosures.

Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registration
  • Willing and able to obtain SAFE licensing as requested by Company
