Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant (Finance of America Mortgage)

Our top producing team in Peoria is looking for a go-getter loan coordinator. Someone who is a self-starter, an efficient multi-tasker, great with people, has a positive attitude and loves to perform their best. You should be a solid team player and have a very positive upbeat. You will be responsible for handling the loan file from start to finish and making sure all documentation is obtained to submit to processing. This is a VITAL role for our company and you will be responsible for making sure everything is moving along and done correctly. This means you need to have a take charge attitude and be willing to be firm and follow up with people when needed. Having an impeccable attention to detail and excellent organizational skills is essential. Being adaptable and efficient is very important for this position. We are looking for a genuine team player who is excellent in communicating professionally with clients and is a steel-trap with following-through on tasks and assignments. You should be able to learn new skills and information needed to adapt to the ever-changing mortgage industry and have a self-motivated ability to "figure things out " along the way. Responsibilities include -
  • Review application /1003 for completeness (Incoming lead taken online)
  • Pull credit
  • Determine if we have a deal and/or determine what is missing
  • Send back to LO so he can sell it
  • Review income and asset documents
  • Manage communication with Client and Realtors
  • Prepare to submit to processor
  • Order 3rd party requirements: 4506, appraisal, title
  • Prepare time clock: determine what needs to be done and when
  • Manage processors to make sure they are meeting time clock
  • Review conditions with processors
  • Help clear conditions when needed
  • Make sure closings happen on time
  • Put out fires
You have at least 2 years professional office/assistant experience and one year of mortgage experience. Impeccable phone skills are a MUST! We want our customers and partners to feel super impressed and "wowed” after dealing with our company.
