Mortgage Loan Processor (American Mortgage & Equity Consultants Inc)

Prepare and process mortgage loan files and correspondence from application through Investor purchase.
Assures compliance with company, regulatory, and investor guidelines while maintaining company
customer service standards. Communicate with customers, internal staff, brokers, investors, counsel, title
companies, etc. to respond to inquiries, resolve problems and obtain all necessary documentation required
for the loan. Responsible for accurate and complete data in company processing systems.
Duties:
¿ Obtain and prepare loan documents, verifying all information for accuracy and completeness
¿ Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of
granting loans.
¿ Process, pre-underwrite and prepare mortgage loans for closing.
¿ Prioritize work flow in order to review new files in a timely manner and submit loans to underwriting
when all required documentation is present.
¿ Assist the loan officer in clearing underwriting conditions.
¿ Communicate with third party vendors (appraisal management companies, insurance companies,
employers, etc).
¿ Work with multiple loan officers and their clients.
¿ Research product guidelines from multiple sources – Agency guidelines, Investor Overlay, etc
Skills/Qualifications:
¿ Two years minimum processing in a Correspondent Lending environment.
¿ Proficiency in DU/DO, LP, GUS, FHA Connection, VA Portal.
¿ Ability to calculate income, including self-employed borrowers (SAM method).
¿ Manage a pipeline of 30+ files, closing approximately 20 per month.
¿ Knowledge of a variety of loan programs including VA, FHA, Conventional, USDA and MHFA.
¿ Able to determine the completeness of a file with regard to the ability of the underwriter to make a
strong credit decision.
¿ Experience in working with Encompass preferred.
