provides big bank services, small town attitudes, and the support of a trusted banking partner. Independent Bank currently has a full time Mortgage Loan Processor opportunity available. This position will review and track loan files according to internal and investor standards. In this position, you will obtain property appraisals, credit reports, verifications, etc., and you will document for the loan file to submit the loan file to underwriting. The successful candidate must be able to review these documents to ensure the documents are correct.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reports to the Processing & Closing Operations Manager.
  • Reviews and tracks loan files according to internal and investor standards.
  • Obtains appraisals, credit reports, verifications, etc., documents for the loan file to submit loan file to underwriting.
  • Must be able to review these documents to ensure the documents are correct.
  • Work with Loan Officers, Title Companies, Realtors and others to ensure timely processing of the loan file.
  • Weekly contact with customers with status of loan file
  • Consistent pipeline management and communication with Customers and Loan Officers.
  • Submission of supplemental documentation to underwriting for clearance of all conditions.
  • Prepares loan file for closing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education
Required

High School or better.

Experience
Required

2-3 years: Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment; Be team oriented with a positive attitude

2-3 years: Strong computer and word processing experience; Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred

2-3 years: Experience in FHLMC, Client, FHA, MSHDA, RD and VA underwriting guidelines.

2-3 years: Knowledgeable in conforming underwriting guidelines

2-3 years: Mortgage processing in a banking environment
