The Executive Closer effectively manages the closing transaction. This position requires the Executive Closer to exercise independent judgment and to possess the knowledge and experience necessary to efficiently handle any situation which may arise during the closing process. Establish and maintain a high level of service and satisfaction to both the inside teams and external clients.
  • Understand and adhere to the company requirement/guidelines regarding core closing functions
  • Communicate with all parties to the transaction to obtain necessary information and documentation to initiate the order and determine expectations on closing the transaction.
  • Set up/submit orders according to company requirements and guidelines.
  • Understand the closing process to determine what steps need to be taken to transfer the title of property pursuant to the conditions called for in the real estate contract and lender instructions
  • Review the entire real estate closing process, including compliance with real estate contracts, lender instructions, title requirements, company requirements and other written instructions to make sure all facets of the transaction/file has been completed and are accurate
  • Assist customers and clients with closing related questions. Acts as an intermediary between different parties
  • Collaborate with internal staff to resolve title issues such as legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, all tax liens, judgments, bankruptcies, boundary disputes, encroachments, list pendens, etc. Exercises appropriate judgment to identify potential legal and operating risks
  • Collaborate with internal staff on all document preparation, preparation of the closing disclosure form, the issuance of checks, bills and statements, receipts, and any other documentation needed to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Make sure all documents (corrective and others) are obtained for the transaction
  • Schedule closing date and time and sends out order confirmation, introduction letters and closing notifications with all parties of the transaction
  • Conduct closings with customer, realtor, lenders, and/or builders
  • Review file for completion of all necessary documents, all title issues have been resolved and receipt of lender closing instructions for closing and the file is in balance
  • Prior to disbursement, confirm all funds are collected, all appropriate documents are checked for accuracy, signatures are collected, and acknowledgements and legal descriptions are correct
  • Arrange and review all documents prior to sending documents for recording for accuracy in accordance to company and state/local guidelines
  • Mark files for any post-closing follow-up (i.e. escrows, release documents)
  • Assist with correcting any post closing action items
  • Responsible for managing a portfolio of customers.
  • Actively develop and manage future client relationships to ensure future closing transactions with Realtors, Builders and LO's
  • Market new business and make calls on current and prospective clients
  • Facilitate or attend seminars, workshops and professional meetings in efforts to identify, develop and maintain business contacts
  • Understand industry developments and regulatory issues and the impact on the business
  • Knowledge of SoftPro
  • Executive Closers are expected to handle on average of at least 50 closings per month.
  • Executive Closers are ultimately responsible for all aspects of the file
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Familiar with and able to follow all polices, rules and regulations of the industry including but not limited to the Company, the Underwriter, Federal, State and Local agencies as applicable
  • Formerly in a Closer role
  • Notary public or be bondable
  • Holds licenses required by Company
  • Works independently and makes appropriate decisions.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3+ years Title experience
  • Preferred Softpro Experience
  • Minnesota Title Producers License
  • Desirable to have Bachelor's Degree in Business, or a related field with work experience in Real Estate or Mortgage industry a positive
