Job Summary: 

This position is primarily focused on acquisition of new accounts. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for selling the manufacturing of private label and promotional products to a targeted industry.  The BDM may also act as a dedicated resource to a few, strategic, established accounts based upon experience and need. 

Key Responsibilities:

Extensive focus on outreach to new potential clients, primarily via cold calling, trade shows, networking, referrals and any other creative methods
Foster and manage consultative client relationships
Be innovative in determining which industries to pursue, strategies to pursue them, and overall doing whatever it takes to execute healthy deals and further grow the business
Problem solve as issues come up both on the production side as well as the client side
Travel as needed to trade shows and other events, average 2-3 days per month
Maintain a thorough CRM/follow up system 
Have an overall hunger for new business and excitement/enthusiasm about spending the vast majority of time seeking out new business to drive the growth
Capitalize on industry knowledge and contacts to uncover all business opportunities within defined industry
Work with cross functional teams to identify and support joint selling opportunities
Ability to change and adapt to the business as it continues to grow, change and develop organically


Bachelor's degree 
5+ years experience in a complex sales environment
Demonstrated achievement in acquisition of new customers 
Consistent prior achievement of quota and revenue goals 
Prior experience developing, managing and leveraging client relationships 
Consultative solution selling and business development skills

Compensation varies depending on experience and includes base salary, commission, health benefits and 401k match.
