We are looking for a Title Officer to join a growing National Title Company.Title Officer is responsible for examining titles, searching real estate records, and compiling a list of mortgages and other contracts pertaining to titles by searching public and private records for law firms, real estate agents, or title insurance companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review preliminary title reports to determine insurability, with primary accountability for all title underwriting requirements
• Reviews and approves title in accordance with Company procedures and guidelines determines curative requirements needed to insure the transaction
• Reviews customer instructions to determine whether instructions can be met within the limits of the policy requested and the scope of services rendered by the company
• Seek out and interpret guidance from internal management and outside in order to create a clear to close status on complex files
• Examine and complete out of state and commercial files
• Proactive focus, addressing inquiries from internal and external parties professionally and timely, rectifying issues immediately.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and flexibility
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to assist in delivering industry leading customer service
• Work well in a team environment
• Ability to be the primary point of contact, assisting to resolve all client issues
• Working knowledge of title industry systems and software, Softpro and ResWare preferred
• Ability to track, resolve and/or escalate time sensitive issues and document in processing systems

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of three (3) years of residential resale and/or commercial experience in the title industry
• Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• College degree preferred
