Job Summary
  • Provides system administration of the Workfront application on UNIX/Linux processor platforms.
  • Responsible for maintaining the backup and restore procedures, monitors performance and capacity of the processors, administers security and data management according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Job Responsibilities Actively monitors and participates in the business resumption, planning, implementation and testing of the Workfront application across multiple environments and servers.
  • Manages and distributes release schedules, installs and upgrades software/hardware products related to the platform according to established procedures and as directed by the client.
  • Documents installation procedures, changes, software/hardware products, and release levels of all products on processors according to established departmental procedures.
  • Provides assistance and problem resolution on software/hardware issues. Develops and documents backup/recovery plan for the supported environments.
  • Monitors application availability and provides performance reports to management. Interacts with technical support staff(s) on cross platform issues.
  • Keeps abreast of new products and developments in marketplace Interacts in cooperative and professional manner with team members, government employees, and vendors in team-oriented environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Strong SOP writer and reviewer skills Bachelor Degree or equivalent technical courses in UNIX/Linux system administration or equivalent work experience.
  • Two years or more of experience identifying and resolving technical problems on the UNIX/Linux platforms and knowledge of UNIX/Linux processor hardware/software products OR Two or more years of experience as UNIX/Linux systems administrator
  • Bash scripting, basic functionality of LINUX/UNIX OS required.
  • Linux and/or AIX experience preferred.
  • Workfront Certification preferred.
  • Must be available to work weekends to support deployment/maintenance activities.
