Network Administarator ll

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establish, maintain, monitor and ensure availability site connectivity and interconnectivity
  • Establish and maintain logical security equipment, protocols, policies, procedures and best practices
  • Establish, maintain, monitor and ensure availability enterprise-wide and corporate-based network services
  • Maintain, monitor and ensure availability of enterprise email system
  • Implement and maintain Disaster Prevention and Recovery systems and procedures, regularly test systems and procedures to ensure effectiveness and provide system and data recovery as needed
  • Implement corporate and school technology infrastructure by evaluating infrastructure requirements, coordinating purchase, delivery and implementation of equipment and services, coordinating configuration and maintenance of equipment and services, and researching new methods and systems for potential use.
  • Maximize efficiency of network infrastructure
  • Coordinate with Manager of IT Service Desk in supervising local and remote technicians where necessary
  • Coordinate with Business Systems Division in purchasing of equipment
  • Coordinate with Business Systems and Service Desk on deployment plans and training as needed
  • Establish and maintains documentation of all policies and procedures for responsible tasks
  • Ensure compliance to established Service Level Agreements through regular monitoring and reporting to supervisors
  • Provide management with critical decision-making information by analyzing data, forecasting and development of systems or processes to monitor data and trends
  • Act as a technology liaison for schools, clients and vendors
  • Participate successfully in the training programs offered to increase the individual's skill and proficiency related to the assignments
  • Review current developments, literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibility
  • Ensure adherence to good safety procedures
  • Perform other duties as delegated by Infrastructure and Security Manager
  • Follow federal and state laws, as well as company policies

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. Preferred degree majors include computer science, management information systems, business or personnel administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in network services including switching, firewall, dhcp,dns, vpn, active directory, vlan, wireless.
  • 5 years of experience in logical security including directory shares, content filtering, wireless, email, and front-end servers.
  • 3-5 years of experience in voice and data services including T-1, Metro Ethernet, PRI, MPLS, POTS.
  • 3-5 years of experience in email solutions including exchange server 2007-10, mobile devices, spam filter.
  • 5 years of experience in disaster prevention and recovery.
  • Ability to travel within and outside of Florida.
  • Experience with complex systems and/or in an educational environment preferred; mastery in Student Information System (SIS) and proficiency in other software used in the organization.
