Associate Compliance Officer permanent position in Boca Raton, FL

The Associate Compliance Officer reports to the Chief Compliance Officer and ensures that the Compliance Department functions as an independent and objective body that evaluates, addresses and responds to compliance issues/concerns within the organization. The position ensures, in part, that the Board of Directors, management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies; that company policies and procedures are being followed; that behavior in the organization meets the company's Code of Conduct; and is responsible for the ongoing development, implementation, and evolution of the Compliance Program and all related compliance activities. This includes, but is not limited to, the development of comprehensive policies and procedures, protocols, compliance training, and internal audits and investigations.
QUALIFICATIONS: 
  1. A bachelor's degree.
  2. Three to Five plus (5+) years recent experience in healthcare compliance
  3. Three plus (3+) years of conducting complex healthcare compliance investigations
  4. Solid working knowledge and understanding of state and federal health care laws, rules and regulations, including HIPAA and healthcare fraud and abuse laws, is required. Certification in Healthcare Compliance preferred
  5. Leadership competencies to include planning and organizing, problem solving, informing and consulting
  6. Project Management experience and exceptional organizational skills
  7. Extensive report development experience
  8. Policy & Procedure development experience
  9. Excellent Analytical, Written, & Oral Communications skills
  10. Experience in Public Speaking and Business Presentations
  11. Highly developed software application skills – MS Office
  12. Behavioral commitment to quality work and customer service philosophy
  13. Strong communication skills – written and verbal; skilled in interpersonal skills, partnership development and conflict resolution
  14. Must be able to read, write, and speak English
