Strategic Chief Financial Officer Permanent Position in Miramar, FL

 As the company continues to grow and expand in ancillary product and services realted to wound care, they seek a Strategic Chief Financial Officer ("CFO”) who will be responsible for all financial management and corporate development functions.  Financial management functions will include finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, tax, treasury, business analysis as well as long-term financial plan development/management.  Corporate development role will entail development and execution of various corporate growth strategies including but not limited to expansion of Managed Care payor relationships and other strategic parnerships.  The CFO will be heavily involved in working with the organization's Board and equity partners. 
The CFO will report directly to the President and will be accountable for ensuring the organization's financial management function is contemporary and serves this enterprise.  

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Support the Founder/CEO and President as a strategic partner and trusted advisor.
  • Provide financial leadership and meet regularly with the executive team to keep them informed, to offer direction, and promote opportunities to improve financial results.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecast updates process and actively engage with line executives in developing budgets and annual business plans.
  • Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the Chief Executive Officer, the President, the Board, the equity partners, and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
  • Oversee the preparation of the monthly financial report and quarterly management report for distribution to the Board of Directors, senior management, and investor group.  Lead and ensure successful completion of annual audits.
  • Provide leadership in the development and the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives as well as long-term financial plan.
  • While the Company is currently debt free, the future CFO would be expected to lead future financings, if any, and interface with lenders if necessary.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives with respect to business process improvements.  Also lead vigilant cost-cutting initiatives to ensure the efficient operation of the company.
  • Manage banking and lender relationships.
  • Manage sales and corporate tax compliance.
  • Assist in diligence of add-on acquisition targets and lead integration of financial reporting and systems of completed acquisitions.
  • Develop and lead various corporate development initiatives including expansion of Managed Care relationships and other strategic partnerships
  • Play an integral role in the preparation and execution of a future sale of the business including participating in Management Presentations.and driving the financial diligence requests of future interested parties.
The successful candidate must possess:
  • Experience as a Chief Financial Officer or Division Chief Financial Officer with strong financial planning and analysis skills.  A minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible financial management experience, with a heavy emphasis on efficiency and providing sound advice to leadership in a financially disciplined, multi-division, public or private corporate environment.
  • Experience in a healthcare business ideally with a component of revenue derived from Medicare.  Strong understanding of revenue cycle management in healthcare and both commercial and government payor requirements.  Up to date on current trends towards value-based healthcare.
  • Significant leadership ability.  The Chief Financial Officer will have strong executive presence, and possess the ability to influence and work effectively across a diverse, fast growing organization. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong capabilities managing capital, including debt and equity financing.
  • Experience leveraging financials and KPIs to drive operational and sales performance.
  • Systems-driven.  Experience installing and leveraging complex ERP/accounting systems.  .
  • Strong project management skills, combined with an accountable "can do” attitude in order to complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Experience working with PE backed portfolio companies is a plus.
  • Ability to think beyond finance and consider the whole scope of the business.
  • High integrity, high energy, ability to maintain strict confidentiality, and an ability to operate in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven experience recruiting and developing a strong corporate finance and accounting staff.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
 
EDUCATION
The candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, with a Masters in Business Administration or Accounting preferred.  An active Certified Public Accounting designation is preferred.
