For over 20 years,our client has provided our customers quality new, used and reconditioned aircraft parts to keep their fleets flying. We invest in high value, long lead time inventory assets to support our industry leading Partner Airline Exchange Program – PAX. The PAX program combines clients assets with quality repair services provided by our sister company, Preferred Composite Services (PCS) to enable our airline partners the ability to operate seamlessly when major components are damaged.
NexGen and PCS are growing rapidly and seeking a Controller to help join its team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Responsible for establishing and overseeing:
  • General Accounting function including preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Annual tax returns
  • Statistical reports
  • Implement and ensure maintenance and integrity of accounting systems
  • Review and analyze monthly operational results to identify and evaluate problem areas, and present solutions to management team
  • Conducts Ad Hoc reviews and reporting
  • Responsible for overseeing the preparation and reporting monthly financial statements
  • Assists the CEO/President in the preparation of short term and long-range plans and annual budgets based on broad corporate goals and growth objectives
  • Interprets operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the firm and makes specific recommendations, which will result in operating and cost­ efficiencies
  • Preparation/Review of revenue and cash forecasts
  • Exercises supervision over the maintenance of the firms chart of accounts, assigns new classifications and cost centers as necessary
  • Is responsible for the correct and accurate accounting classification of all revenue, expenditures, fixed assets
  • Review of project proposals, contracts, consultant and legal filings to ensure appropriate business language and terms
  • Acts as immediate contact with the firms outside CPAs on accounting matters including tax planning and preparation of financials for annual tax filings
  • Oversees preparation of sales, payroll and other tax items as they arise
  • Directs the preparation of statistics for periodic and yearly financial statements, including the preparations of charts and graphs showing progress, conditions and results. Provide specific reporting to President and Senior Management.
  • Responsible for filing of externally required reports and governmental filings
  • Maintain relationships with various banking institutions for the maintenance of accounts
  • Responsible for calculation of the overhead recovery and invoicing
  • Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, expectations and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood
  • Ensure that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations
  • Manage, oversee, train and mentor staff who are responsible for AP, AR, and Payroll, Collections, Reconciliations, Cash Reporting and Project Cost Accounting
  • Oversees Accounting and Project Software – Experience with Quantum is a strong positive
  • Available to perform duties including attending meetings as appropriate during and outside of normal working hours
  • Responsible for implementation of company policies, procedures and standards
  • Supervise preparation of annual operating budget and variance reports for senior management
  • Develop and implement financial controls to ensure the integrity of reported information
  • Perform operational analysis and financial forecasting
  • Negotiation of all lending, benefits, insurance and purchase contracts
  • Tax analysis, reporting, and documentation to ensure proper tracking for maximizing tax savings & detailed audit trail
  • Company expense reduction and tax reduction strategies
  • Process and Procedure Creation and Improvement


Qualifications for this position include the following:
  • Experience in General Accounting
  • MRO Project Cost Accounting and Exchange Accounting with Industry Quantum Software
  • Federal Tax Planning and Review
  • Revenue and Billing Management
  • Forecasting with exposure to integrating all Accounting Functions with Production
  • Operations and Project Scheduling
  • Contract Review and Insurance Risk Management in an Aero Space/MRO Services environment
  • In-house Payroll exposure
  • At least 10 years of Senior Supervisory/Management experience as a Controller or Asst CFO
  • Bachelors Degree required and a CPA/CMA preferred

Excellent management and training skills required with an ability to think outside of the box. Consulting experience helpful. This position requires a great amount of interaction with the Operational staff of the firm and an ability to consistently find solutions and improve both Financial and Operational processes.
