Network Analyst II/Duluth, GA 7 mth+ contract (HPJP00080718)

Summary of Position:
This position is responsible for supporting customers request related to data connectivity, PBX functionality and Voice Mail access in our remote offices and Headquarter location. This position need to be able to troubleshoot any issue related to LAN, MAN, WAN or Wireless connection that is reported for customers or other BIS groups, he/her need to be familiar with escalation process implemented for different Telecommunication providers when critical sites are affected and immediate actions is needed it from the vendor to resolve any ongoing issue with data or voice circuit facing any type of problem. This position will use different network monitoring tools that are already implemented in the company in order to prevent, identify, and resolve any possible disruption of the network service or PBX system, he/her should be able to escalate complex issue to the network architect or network manager in order to expedite the resolution. The network Analyst II will be in charge to monitor our existent help desk system and contact our customers following standard procedures and need to be able to meet SLA response time and resolution time predefined for the BIS department. This position should be able to provide assistance configuring Cisco switches, Cisco routers, Polycom video conference Units and able to run different bandwidth reports as requested for manager or other BIS groups.
The working environment consists of broadly defined policies and specific objectives. The Network Analyst II will be presented with broad, general business and support requirements goals and must demonstrate a high degree of intuition in determining the best means to achieve those goals. The position's breadth of responsibility will expose the incumbent to a large variety of unique issues and challenges. Incumbent must demonstrate a strong ability to focus on primary objectives, analyze arguments, and clarify and determine the most constructive solution.
1. Provide Support Enterprise wide for any Network and PBX infrastructure issues.
a. Provide Technical support, administration, and maintenance of LAN, WAN, Wireless Network, Cisco Router Configuration, Cisco Catalyst configuration and ASA Configuration across the organization
b. Provide input on the design and development of complex, business-critical solutions as required by manager or other team members
c. Provide input and recommendations to increase efficiency and reduce cost/effort in managing corporate applications and networking infrastructure.
d. Monitor the help desk system and meet SLA time for ticket Response and Resolution as defined for the BIS unit.
2. Assist in the design of overall architecture for technical infrastructure
a. Demonstrate expertise in one or more technical areas (Network, Telecommunications, and some project management) and provide technical consulting on complex projects
b. Help with the network documentation as requested for Network Manager.
c. Work closely with other team members to provide outstanding support to customers, ensure that Network projects are delivered on time and SLAs are met.
d. Work closely with network manager to review high-level architecture goals and define a workable, phased-in plan for accomplishing design goals
e. Maximize capabilities of all tools and purchased technologies to ensure maximum benefit
f. Work with network architect to define, execute, and integrate BIS Change Control policies and procedures in the design, implementation, and integration of network and application infrastructures
g. Keep Network documentation up to date.
3. Participate as a team member and/or lead on assigned projects
a. Provide detailed tasks, time estimates, and resource recommendations to the Project Lead for assigned projects
b. Assume responsibility for assigned project modules and deliverables
c. Keeps the Project Leader apprised of progress, issues, and risks in a timely manner
d. Works closely with vendors in the requisition, schedule and installation of data and voice circuits
4. Facilitate and/or support the resolution of tier II tickets
a. May work across teams and with vendors to identify and resolve complex issues
b. Provide bandwidth reports as required for other BIS groups.
c. Provide Network Flow results as required for other BIS groups.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Qualifications):
a. Demonstrated knowledge of EIGRP and BGP
b. Demonstrated knowledge of MPLS networks
c. Demonstrated knowledge of traditional telephony circuits
d. Demonstrated knowledge of advance troubleshooting in IP networks
e. Solid understanding of Net flow data and how to use the data in troubleshooting and reporting situations
f. Demonstrated knowledge of VPN and firewall technologies
a. Extreme attention to detail
b. Demonstrated ability to work within a project management framework
c. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member
d. Excellent written and verbal skills
e. Ability to work with remote users and analysts at varying levels of knowledge
f. Ability to work with senior management at varying levels of knowledge

j. Ability to learn new technologies and applications in a short amount of time
a. 5 + years' experience implementing, monitoring, and maintaining technical infrastructure
b. 3+ years installing Cisco Routers/Switches/Wireless Controllers
c. 2 + years' experience dealing with vendors in the installation/move of data circuits or voice circuits.
a. Bachelor's degree in computer science, software design, management information systems, engineering or a related field and or relevant direct job experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Qualifications):
a. Working Knowledge of Cisco Voice Gateways and Cisco Call Manager Express
b. Working knowledge of Cisco Catalyst 4000 and 6000 Series.
c. Working knowledge of Cisco Routers 2800, 2900 and 3900 Series.
d. Working knowledge of Cisco wireless AP's and controllers
e. Working knowledge of Cisco ASA
f. Working knowledge of Palo Alto networks firewalls
a. Ability to meet project deadlines while handling day to day support issues
b. Ability to design, implement and train network solutions in projects and day to day maintenance
a. 10+ years specifically in networking
a. Bachelor's degree in computer science, software design, management information systems, engineering or a related field
a. Cisco CCNA/CCNP or higher
