The Presales Solution Architect will be in a high impact deal solution design position responsible for ensuring pervasive
adoption of client's next generation 'VMware enabled' Hybrid Cloud Services, SDN & Security
and CMP service offerings, and contributing to closing large multi-tower client tenders & projects.

The role includes a high percentage of cross domain collaboration and close teaming with the
bid director. This role also includes close collaboration with VMware pre-sales specialists,
professional services, technical support and the product business units.

The preferred candidate is a professional passionate about customer success with experience in
translating customer business requirements into capabilities that can be delivered with the
VMware solutions.

• Become a trusted advisor to bid executives and senior management within the
respective SIH/Cloud Hub and GTS/GBS Cloud Teams
• Understand the customer's business strategy and challenges on deals supported
• Understand the customer's IT strategy and programs and how these relate to the
desired business outcomes on deals supported
• Match VMware's solutions to customer's business and IT requirements on deals
• Translate business requirements with technical dependencies into conceptual and high level
• Joint responsibility with the deal team for the Technical Strategy and Solution for
specific opportunities and initiatives
• Consult on operational best practices and requirements
• Contribute to the authoring of technical & RFP proposals (leading specific domains),
including technical volumes and boilerplate development in support of Pursuit team
• Present and demonstrate VMware value propositions and solutions with a clear client
• Orchestrate and drive the end-to-end pre-sales engagement on deals, including strong
collaboration with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Consult on best migration strategies for specific workloads depending on client
• Experienced and credible C-suite advisor with strong customer/partner relationship building
• Pre-Sales experience within an enterprise software organization or one of the larger
consulting companies
