Job Responsibilities:
  • Act as the sole point of contact between the business team and Information Technology teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead the requirements analysis/gathering, business process definition and design sessions with the business stakeholders to deliver a new Participations and Residuals System.
  • Create functional and high-level technical designs based on business requirements which includes "As Is” and "To Be” workflows, requirement definition documents, use case specifications, screen and high level conceptual table designs.
  • Write test plans and perform QA testing and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Work closely with the IT team (managers, developers, and QA team) to ensure the smooth and efficient design and development lifecycle.
  • Create, maintain and execute project plan.
  • Maintain a consistent and constant flow of communication with team members and managers; articulate thoughts crisply but with the appropriate level of detail and accuracy depending on audience
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure that the design is complete and up to the IT team's standards.
  • Provide training, support and guidance to the business community on application features and enhancements.
  • Assist in preparing Data conversion plan and analyze impacts on business processes.
  • Assist in preparing deployment/business cutover plan
  • Provide expert critical thinking and trouble-shooting skills to assess, identify, test, and resolve reported application bugs
  • Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations

  • Minimum 5-10 years business analysis experience with at least 2 years in the entertainment industry
  • Bachelor's degree in finance/business/ computer science/ information systems or related field
  • Proven experience with studio based participations, royalty and residuals calculations, financial or payment functions as an analyst or consultant
  • Proven experience and understanding of the full system development life cycle and the dynamics of application development projects
  • Proven experience working with large applications supporting large financial data and complex calculations.
  • Working understanding of relational data bases.
  • Preferred work experience in leading projects using Agile and waterfall methodology
  • Strong multitasking, problem solving, analytical, design and testing skills
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Jira, MS Project, Visio, MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Production Accounting or Entertainment Finance/Accounting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Guilds and Residual process preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with aggressive deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills across multiple threads of work streams.
  • Outstanding documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
