Duration: 12 Months Contract

  • Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics as defects, defect counts, test results and test status.
  • Collects and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements, and integrates them into business process to address the business needs
  • Documents all problems and assists in their resolution
  • Delivers quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners
  • Performs quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, Procedures and Methodologies are being followed.

Daily Tasks Performed
  • Review Business Requirements & Technical Specs to guide testing approach.
  • Raise questions to clarify vague documentation from Biz or Tech teams.
  • Determine the high-level estimate for test effort.
  • Create test plan, test schedule and test matrix for projects.
  • Guide testers in writing detailed test scripts.
  • Track test script execution and report progress to Mgmt.
  • Review test results for accuracy and thoroughness and provide feedback.
  • Escalate issues causing testing inconsistencies or delays.

  • Financial Services Test Lead experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of QA practices, policies, and methodologies
  • In depth knowledge in creating and maintaining Quality Assurance documentation (Test plan, test cases/scripts, defect reports/analysis, etc.)
  • Highly proficient in using QA functional and performance testing tools to create, maintain, and execute test scripts
  • In depth knowledge of SQL using Oracle and/or SQL server
  • Ability to multi-task and perform testing on multiple simultaneous projects
  • Advanced ability to self-direct with a high degree of initiative, ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.

Business Experience
  • 3 to 5 years system development, testing, and/or business experience

  • Automotive Finance industry experience
  • Strong background in Quality Center functionality
  • Experience with testing new technology as well as legacy systems
  • Ability to escalate issues in a calm, professional manner as needed.
