SQL Server Developer and DBA

Designs, develops and tunes back-end SQL and T-SQL code. Assists Lead DBA with SQL Server Database Administration.

  • Designs, develops and tune back-end SQL and T-SQL
  • Assist Lead DBA with database administration activities
  • Actively participates and assists with researching/analyzing production system issues and data anomalies

  • Bachelor's Degree. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Science, or Mathematics preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience with SQL Server development with mentor level skills in complex SQL and Stored Procedures
  • Some programming knowledge with exposure to Visual Studio IDEs and .NET environments.
  • Exposure to SQL Server administration
  • Willingness to learn more about SQL Server administration
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze a product or process and recommend improvements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to exercise independent, mature judgment, prioritize tasks & maintain confidentiality required.
  • Proven ability to work in high pressure environment with deadlines.
  • Possesses the ability to display a range of characteristics, including calmness under pressure, a positive attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and maintain tight schedules.
Sitting, typing and computer monitor viewing for extended periods. Occasional lifting up to 40 pounds. Must be able to type and perform repetitive key strokes.
