Job Summary:
The AXeptance Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing automation suites, scripting and executing automation test script using the AXeptance Automation tool for an ERP system implementation. They are expected to be able to write detailed test plans, understand scenario and script development. They must be able be develop an automation approach framework for full system integration and regression testing of the system.

Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.
  • 7+ Years of demonstrated experience implementing ERP including at least 2 full life cycle implementations in an automation test engineer role.
  • 2+ Years of AX2012 experience.
  • 2+ Years of AXeptance Test Automation experience.
  • Expert understanding of and competency in creating automated test plans, test cases, and thinks through the approach to deliver a test suite.
  • Expert understanding of SQL and databases.
  • Good understanding of AX Application Object Tree (AOT)
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally.
  • Demonstrated success in working as part of a global team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creates and maintains automated testing artifacts.
  • Champions automation methodologies.
  • Identifies and drives change to ensure automation effectiveness.
  • Troubleshooting test case failures (root cause analysis).
  • Enhance, extend and maintain test automation libraries and frameworks.
  • Create, maintain and expand master regression test set.
  • Identify and create data sets to be used in test automation activities.
  • Provides accurate, clear and concise testing status updates across multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with business process leads, Technical Team to identify the automation test candidates and defines the approach to attain maximum automation coverage
  • Offer suggestions on how best to deliver automation solutions.
  • Escalates issues to AX Testing Manager as defined or as needed in a clear, concise and timely manner.
  • Identifies, communicates and provides solutions to issues that impact project schedules.
  • Consistently seeks challenges and seize opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with peers in Product Development, Project Management, and Client Services, and with external vendors.
