Responsibilities include, but are not limited* to: Develop and document DSE standards and configurations; Develop, document and implement DSE Cassandra administration and support processes; Develop, document and implement monitoring and alerting for DSE Cassandra; Install, configure and manage DSE Cassandra databases; Administer all operational aspects of DSE Cassandra including patching, performance, tuning and monitoring; Work with project teams to deploy DSE Cassandra at Delta; Lead and support database migrations to DSE Cassandra; Advise the Delta Data Modeling team as needed to develop highly performant data models; Train DBA resources on DSE Cassandra administration and best practices; Consult with application development teams on DSE Cassandra database technical issues and techniques; Responsible for database performance testing and tuning, user configuration, security and support processes including database backup/recovery; Coordinate downtime with application development teams and system engineers to implement approved changes; Interface with Software Vendors to resolve issues and answer questions; (* may perform other duties as assigned)

Quals--
3+ years of experience administering DSE Cassandra version 5/6 databases; Proven ability and experience in sun rising DSE Cassandra in a large enterprise environment; Proven ability to administer all aspects of DSE Cassandra including patching, performance, tuning and monitoring; Strong experience installing, configuring, migrating and managing DSE Cassandra databases; Strong experience integrating DSE monitoring and alerting into existing IT monitoring framework; Ability and willingness to follow established IT / DBA policies and procedures; Ability to provide technical direction to others, including application developers; Four-year degree (BA or BS) or equivalent work experience in a related field of study
